I spent a weekend on a cruise ship QUANTUM OF THE SEAS where a robot is installed that will ultimately be beneficial.
The bartending robot can produce two drinks per minute and can make up to 1,000 every day.
Guests create an order – whether it’s a customized request or a standard menu item – on a specially programmed tablet or with staff.
They can follow their orders on the digital screen to the tape, and once it’s ready, bartenders will release their drink by simply touching their SeaPass card or WOWband.
In fact, these are two smaller robotic hands that always accurately and quickly measure the amount of alcohol, then shake it and carefully, transfer the alcohol into a plastic bowl.
In some ways they behave like people, their moves are liquid with full gestures.
